Homework

Reading and Language Arts:
Read as much as you can of Class Clown, will discuss th rest of the novel on Friday.

Math:
Test will be tomorrow. We went over the study guide today together.

Reminders:
1. Tomorrow is our pen pal field trip. A letter went out today on how to prepare your child.
2. Thursday is Spring Fest, students can wear their spring fest shirts.

Newsletter:

Things we learned this week
1. Started reading Class Clown. Worked on our comprehension skills and introduced new vocabulary words,
2. Students took chapter 8 test in Social Studies. This was an open notes and book test. Students did a great job. 
3. Students finished up chapter 11 in math, test will be Wednesday.
4. Started our last unit in science on the Stars. Learned how a Star is born and what happens throughout a Stars life.

Reminders
1. May 30th: No school
2. June 1st: Pen pal field trip
3. June 2nd: Spring Fest
4. June 7th: Last day of school, report cards will be issued. Metra Train Assembly will be on this day as well.

Things we learned this week: 
1. Read Mailing May and reviewed setting in a story.
2. Students understand that line graphs show quantitative changes over time.
3. Students took chapter 10 test in math.
4. Students have been observing the phases of the Moon.
5. Reviewed and practiced  writing compound sentences.
6. Introduced chapter 11 in math, students reviewed how to read and interrupt line and bar graphs.

Reminders:
1. May 30th: No school
2. June 2nd: Spring Fest
3. June 7th: LAST day of school, report cards will be issued.
5. June 7th: Metra Train Assembly 
6. June 1st: Field Trip to meet pen pals.

Flat Stanley Project

We started our Flat Stanley project back in March. Each student sent Flat Stanley to relatives and friends in different places around the United States and even to other countries. I am so proud of ALL the hard work the students put into this project.

2. Students are able to resolve a conflict and describe the symbols of our nation.

3. Students were introduced to the mean of a set of data; and to review the median of a set of data.

4. Students have been observing the phases of the Moon.

5. Reviewed compound sentences and conjunctions.

Reminders:

1. Multi Cultural Week: Was a huge success and the students did such a wonderful job!

2. May 20th: Spring pictures are due, please bring the packet back to school regardless.

3. May 20th: Is the last day for A.R. points, READ!!!
