Finally....students were able to go OUTSIDE for recess! YES!

We will be starting our new science unit this week...Physics of Sound.

Mini Book Reports (Penguin Project)

Students did a wonderful job on their mini book reports (Penguin Project). Students took a book and rated it penguin points. Five penguin points for being the BEST book they have ever read and zero penguin points for being the WORST. Students had to summarize the book. Also, the students had to describe their likes and dislikes about their book.

Homework:  
1. Keep studying your math facts at home. This is very important.

2. Please make sure you check your child's Friday folder every weekend and make sure that it gets returned signed on Monday. Also, make sure you and your child look over graded papers that were sent home. Please contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns.

3. Please log your minutes if you are reading at home. Everyone MUST read at least 20 minutes this weekend. It MUST also have a parent signature. Students received a reading log sheet today.

4. Time line projects are due 1/23. 

Class Dojo:

Class Dojo is running very smoothly in my classroom. This is a new behavior program I am trying. In your child's Friday folder you will find a Class Dojo report with how many points your child earned and how many points your child lost for the week. Please look at these reports that go home every weekend. Thank you for all the parents who have signed up and those who have given me great feedback. I am hoping this will motivate the students to work hard and care for one another. They will be able to take their positive points and use them in the classroom!
